| Horticulture Therapy Program |
Helping kids learn about the importance of nurturing living things is the key principle of horticulture therapy. Ozanam's horticultural therapist works with kids throughout the year in the greenhouse while teaching them to care for the plants and drawing correlations about caring for themselves. The on-campus greenhouse serves both a classroom function for the school and a work-site function for the Vocational Education program. Each year, the Horticulture Therapy Program holds a plant sale in the spring, which gives the boys and girls and opportunity to showcase their plant knowledge to the general public. It also raises awareness and funds for the program's greenhouse efforts. Click here to find out more about Ozanam's Annual "Thyme for Kids" Plant Sale. |
