There are two residence halls on Ozanam's campus. Dorms are divided into units containing 10 or 11 beds each, and youth care staff maintains a 1:5 ratio with the residents on each unit during waking hours. The Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU) houses 20 children, and the Mabee Dorm houses 42 children. A child's placement in a unit is contingent upon his or her needs. In addition to the two residence halls, an on-campus group home is available for 12 boys who are older and who would benefit from an increased focus on community transition. All residential living units at Ozanam contain awake staff for 24-hour supervision. Each living unit is staffed by a team of youth counselors who are trained to assist clients in social skills development, personal hygiene, problem-solving skills, and the development of positive peer relationships. |
Ozanam is part of Cornerstones of Care, a partnership of agencies providing therapeutic treatment services for children and families. Visit our Affiliations and Partners page to find out more.
